Golf group won't give up on saving Missoula course

(MISSOULA)- A group of golfers say they're determined to block the University of Montana from shutting down the UM golf course.

The school announced plans this past winter to close the course and use the space for expansion of UM's South Campus project, which includes the College of Technology.

But KPAX TV reports the course's fans aren't willing to surrender the fight, and plan an informational meeting to rally more people to their cause. That's scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. in the Sentinel High School Cafeteria. They've organized under the name Advocates for Missoula's Future.
