Investigators follow up tips on Missoula rape case

Authorities say the woman was attacked near this location on Spurgin Road Saturday morning- KPAX TV photo(MISSOULA)- Missoula County deputies say they've received several tips since reporting about a Saturday attack in which two men stalked a local woman and tried to rape her.

The incident happened on South Reserve Saturday morning. The victim told the Missoula County Sheriff's Office the suspects harassed her near Shopko and then followed her to Spurgin Road, where one of the men attacked her, shoving her to the ground and trying to rape her. She stopped the attack by using pepper spray.

KPAX TV reports deputies remain on the lookout for the suspects and have been following up on tips from the public.
