(FLORENCE)- The Montana Highway Patrol says a 75-year old woman who died when her SUV rolled in the Bitterroot Saturday evening apparently lost control of the car as she was trying to pass.
KPAX TV reports the crashed happened on U.S. 93 near Florence when the victim was passing a truck on the four lane road. Troopers say it appears the victim lost control of her GMC when she clipped the truck as she was merging back into the right hand lane.
The SUV rolled and she was thrown from the car. It's the second fatal accident in Western Montana this week where someone died because they weren't wearing a seat belt.
